COVER NOTES

“As before, the service from you is outstanding. This is the second time I have ordered on Sunday and had the CD s delivered on Tuesday morning. Be assured of my future custom. Please use this on your website.”  Jim, Scotland
This is a follow-up to Past Perfect’s best-seller “Tea Party” (PPWOC001), and although set in the same three decades is a somewhat more eclectic mix.
Vocalists such as Billie, Nat, Ella, Hoagy etc. who sang in a jazz idiom sit cheek by jowl with musicians who were determined to head off in a different direction. I’d have thought that Charlie Parker, Bud Powell, Miles Davis and. other proponents of what was then called modern jazz would make strange bedfellows. Yet such compilations appear popular amongst a new generation of listeners for whom the word jazz needs no suffix, and implies merely a very loose genre of music.
All are presented with the clarity of sound that characterises Past Perfect CDs.

You are very kind; thank you! The music is going to be played at a Dementia Facility with residents who will be so thrilled to hear this music. Thank you for making their lives more enjoyable and bringing back memories for them. My mom is one of those people so I am so grateful.
